William McSpirit_ 'Jaclyn Smith Happy Birthday 2013 Tribute'Source:William McSpirit– Hollywood Goddess and Charlie’s Angel Jaclyn Smith.

“HAPPY BIRTHDAY 2013! We still LOVE you Jaclyn Smith. I realize the choice of song may sound like something a stalker might play but it’s not intended that way. 🙂

The pain of cancellation, if I must say, is deep in my mind and locked away ! 🙂 But most of all we do love you STILL!”

Jaclyn Smith

Source:Lifetime Network– Intimate Portrait Jaclyn Smith.

I probably think of Jaclyn Smith as an actress last, because of outside of Charlie’s Angels and a few guest TV appearances in the 1970s and even in the last few years if you’re a fan of CSI which I am, her acting career I don’t believe has been a big focus of her professional life.

Jaclyn is a goddess who has used that to promote her business career. And I’m not talking about sleeping her way to the top or anything like that. But she’s this gorgeous if not hot baby-faced adorable Texas sweetheart and has made a great career for herself in fashion and showing women how they can look great as well. And whatever you think of the Charlie’s Angels series and I would be one of the first to tell you it wasn’t a great show, she is by far the most successful of the Angels.

Jackie is my favorite of the Charlie’s Angels. Farah Fawcett is overrated and became a star mostly because of her gorgeous, adorable looks who perhaps didn’t grow up and burned out real fast and died early in life.

Kate Jackson, is a very good actress and funny and also very pretty and very cute. With Cheryl Ladd and Shelly Hack I think they were looking for the next Farah Fawcett and I don’t know what they brought to that show.

But Jackie was a true Angel a Goddess who could also act and has a good sense of humor. Who almost forty-years later is still very active and still doing very well. I don’t think you can say the same about any other actresses on that show.

Charlie’s Angeles was a hit for ABC because of the three girls on the show. Women love seeing strong women on TV and women who are in charge and don’t get pushed around. Guys love seeing beautiful sexy women kick ass.

Today shows that feature beautiful sexy female cops, or law enforcement officers, or private detectives, who kick ass are very common. CSI, Law & Order SVU, are just a couple of examples of that. But in the late 1970s and early 1980s that wasn’t very common.

Charlie’s Angels was truly groundbreaking TV for how they featured strong independent women. So in that sense it was a great show and historic. And Jacklyn Smith was a big part of that and I believe the star of that show.

JFK extended previewSource:American Experience with a preview of their JFK documentary.

Source:The New Democrat

“The 2-minute preview for JFK, a new biopic coming to PBS and American Experience on November 11 & 12, 2013.”

From American Experience

The PBS version of John F. Kennedy is the best program at least I’ve seen of Jack Kennedy this month. Not that there has been a lot of quality programs and films about his so far in November. Because the rest of them have been about the assassination and why he was in Dallas in November, 1963. Or why he so highly regarded in pop culture as a cool president. But the American Experience program is truly about his life and his career.

Jack Kennedy before Congress, in Congress, the famous 1960 presidential election against Richard Nixon, the Kennedy Administration obviously and all of the key moments that happened in his administration. How he put his administration together, the relationship he had with the Southern Caucus of right-wing Democrats in Congress that had the real power in the House and Senate. Even though he did have large Democratic majorities in both the House and Senate.

President Kennedy’s policies to stimulate economic growth and expand educational and college opportunities. The Bay of Pigs, the Cuban Missile Crisis, his hard push for civil rights legislation. All of the things that you tend not to get from the commercial networks or the entertainment cable networks. But that you only get for the most part from PBS and films you see at the theater.

Ted Cruz Fills Few Hours Of Marathon Speech With Rousing Pro-Obamacare A_

Source:The Onion– In a marathon Senate floor speech Senator Ted Cruz, finally ran out of Tea Party propaganda and decided to embrace ObamaCare. If he had five more minutes, he would’ve endorsed President Barack Obama for a third term. But every man has to eat and even use the bathroom, go to sleep before they crash on the Senate floor from exhaustion, etc. Not necessarily from The Onion. LOL

“The world’s insect leaders meet at the G20,000,000,000 Summit, a bullied 8th grader incorrectly thought classmates would leave him alone during a field trip to the 9/11 memorial, and a man experiencing his first real moment of peace in years is resuscitated. It’s the week of September 27, 2013. More from The Onion.”

From The Onion

Only The Onion would report that Ted Cruz spoke in favor of so-called ObamaCare. Otherwise Senator Cruz could be both drunk and high and awake for seventy-two hours straight at the Guantanamo Bay Prison and even forced to take truth serum and still find away to be against ObamaCare.

Actually, maybe Senator Cruz’s speech happened at Guantanamo Bay Prison on one of his visit’s there after visiting his relatives in Cuba. And decided to stay back and give his big speech there, instead of flying back to Congress to speak on the Senate floor.

Or maybe Senator Cruz just ran out of things to say. That even phone books have a limited amount of pages that you can go through and read. And he was starting to fall asleep reading the phonebook, or got tired of listening to the presiding officer snore in their chair.

Or perhaps the Senator just lost his train of thought. But actually he doesn’t much have much of a train of thought to begin with, because he keeps missing that train. And decided after going into every single thing that he doesn’t like about the Affordable Care Act, including a lot of the stuff that is actually not in the law, he would then go through what he actually likes about the law.

Me personally, every time I see a story from The Onion, I gotta take it with at least one train of thought. I realize they report more facts than Fox News even and perhaps are the most trusted news organization for Millennial’s. But hear them report that Senator Cruz, whose perhaps the most prominent Tea Party member in Congress, come out in favor of the Affordable Care Act, would be like hearing Rick Santorum come out on favor of prostitution and bigamy, in the same speech.

But again you give a twenty-hour speech and anything can happen, including finally running out of stuff to say and saying things you don’t believe.

attachment-1-25Source:Ragma Loka– Rob Lowe as President John F. Kennedy, during his last days alive.

“Recounting the chaotic events that occurred in Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963, PARKLAND weaves together the perspectives of a handful of ordinary individuals suddenly thrust into extraordinary circumstances: the young doctors and nurses at Parkland Hospital, Dallas’ chief of the Secret Service, an unwitting cameraman who captured what became the most watched and examined film in history.”

From Ragma Loka

I saw bits and pieces of this movie and I didn’t think it was very good. Which is probably why I only saw bits and pieces of it. I’ve caught a little more of it when it has come back on with its repeats.

The movie about Kennedy from Reelz in 2011, I thought was much better and perhaps that is why they covered the entire Kennedy presidency, at least his years as President. And I thought Greg Kinnear did a much better job playing Jack Kennedy than Rob Lowe.

In 2013, there will be several movies about JFK because of the fiftieth anniversary of the JFK assassination. Including a film from PBS about the life of JFK, which I believe will be the best film.

Killing Kennedy is fairly interesting, but it really just about the last year or so JFK, including the Bay of Pigs fiasco in 1962 and the Cuban missile crisis. And this movie doesn’t go into great detail about John F. Kennedy as President.

What you see in this movie, is the stuff that is better suited for tabloid news and tabloid news fans. The women of JFK including his wife Jackie and of course all the affairs that President Kennedy had, including in the White House and including with women with dangerous organized connections. Including Judy Exner and Lee Oswald’s last year or so leading up to him assassinating President Kennedy. This movie I would give a 7.5 or 8, but it’s not a great movie.

The Onion

Source:The Onion– unemployed New York City career politician Anthony Weiner, desperate for work at taxpayers expense.

“Apple unveils a panicked man with no ideas, Bashar Al-Assad tries a tiny bit of sarin gas on himself to see what it’s like, and a billboard alerts commuters to the existence of a situational comedy starring stand-up comedian Jerry Seinfeld. It’s the week of September 13, 2013. For more breaking news: The Onion.”

From The Onion

Too bad for Anthony Weiner, or can we call him Tony now: I mean seriously, why is The Weiner the only man in America that can’t go by a nickname? Does his sexting scandal really make his so much more special than anyone else?

Too bad his first name isn’t Richard and he’s not short, because Little Dick would’ve been the perfect nickname for him. I hear there are real job openings for real jobs out there in New York City and perhaps Tony should apply for one of them. Unless the job requires him to keep his pants on the whole time he is working. Perhaps Tony should look for a real job and get out of politics.

Apparently Tony Weiner is the only career politician/workaholic who can’t find a job. So that would be something that would make him special. If you saw The Onion report about the guy with the 42,000 jobs back in 2012, maybe that is why Tony can’t find one, because that workaholic has every job that was still available in New York City.

Being a workaholic without a job must be tough. That would be like a fish with no water and trying to learn how to swim. Or being an institutionalized prison inmate who has spent most of your life in prison and learning that every prison and jail in America is about to be closed. And you’ll be released on the outside as a result.

With Tony Weiner’s professional background and that the fact that he’s a Weiner, he shouldn’t have any real trouble finding work in New York City. Wait, Rudy Giuliani and Mike Bloomberg closed down most of the strip clubs in New York. So maybe Tony will support the nanny state less now since it is now costing him work that he’s qualified for. But he’s a former U.S. Representative and sexter, so he would be perfect in Washington, if he wants to come back. And he could get himself involved in sexy scandals there, without worrying about it costing him his job.

Kim Novak

Source:Scott McGee– Turner Classic Movies honoring Hollywood Goddess Kim Novak as their Star of The Month, for September, 2013. Well-deserved.

“:60 promo for Turner Classic Movies Star of the Month Kim Novak, September 2013. Written/produced by Scott McGee. Edited by Jay Bellissimo. Voiced by Sylvia Villagran.”

From Scott McGee

A gorgeous, sexy, baby, who always leaves you wanting to see more of her movies and appearances. I haven’t seen many women who are that gorgeous, sexy, as well, as baby-face adorable, who makes her characters seem so real, because she makes her characters part of her. Which is how Kim Novak acted and why she’s been so successful.

The phrase always leaves you wanting more can almost sound negative if not insulting, because it implies someone, or something is not good enough. But in Kim Novak’s case, that means she’s so hot and great that you want to see as much of her as possible. Like in:“Please, don’t go away.”

I believe Kim Novak is almost an under appreciated Hollywood Goddess and actress, because she gave up her career pretty quickly. She was finished acting by the late 1960s when she was in her mid-30s when she probably would have at least one if not two more great decades ahead of her where should could have had a great movie career. Or perhaps done TV as well and had a whole list of great roles in front of her. Because she was versatile and could play anyone. That goes to the always leaves you wanting more. Because she was so good and looked so great that you never wanted to see her go away.

Kim Novak or Baby Kim (as I call her) is truly one of the best actress’s I have ever seen and one of the best looking. This hot, baby-faced, woman, with the great body who was also a hell of an actress who again made her characters seem and brought them to real-life. Who also had this adorable silly side that could make you laugh. And yet her career as an actress was only about 10-15 years and that might even include her brief return in 1985 to work on prime-time soap operas. Who could have had a long great career and be remembered as one of the best actress’s of her generation, if not all-time.

The Onion Republic's Surgeon General

Source:The Onion– The Onion Republic’s Surgeon General, What’s His Name. LOL

“The office of the Surgeon General holds a live press conference to explain that no one has ever gotten cancer from just bumming a couple cigarettes at a party.”

From The Onion

Also in the news: fire is less dangerous when you get burned. And heroin is better for you through needles. And a lot of Washington drivers actually drive better when they are drunk.

I think this is a very credible news report for anyone whose so high right now that they’re seeing smoke coming out of their ears from the marijuana that they’re smoking. I could easily see why someone like that would take this news report seriously.

Also, people in North Korea who haven’t eaten in a few days who are told by their Marxist government that North Korea is the wealthiest country in the world and exports food, would also believe this story as well.

Also in the news, Fidel Castro the former President of the Communist Republic of Cuba has come out in favor of free market capitalism. Saying in a lengthy speech that Karl Marx was a fraud who owned five different private corporations and didn’t bother to share any of his earnings with people who were poor. Fidel also said that he hopes to create new a new revolution in Cuba to create a libertarian society free of government and interference. Fidel also said: “That all remaining Communists would be deported to Florida. Fidel in a long speech said: “After fifty-years of Marxism, its time for Cuba to make a change. And see how the rest of the world lives.”

Also in what’s not going on in the world today, (and this time not from Fox News or MSNBC) Mike Huckabee and Rick Santorum have announced that they running for president together as a gay couple in 2016. And are running to make same-sex marriage the law of the land. They’ve announced today that they both can no longer handle the guilt from lying to their opposite sex wives. As well as the guilt from bashing homosexuality in public while in private they’re sleeping with 2-3 men a night and trying on their wives clothing.

So a big day in what’s not going on in the world that you heard first here and not from Fox News or MSNBC. Tune in tomorrow, because we hope to have a story about Libertarian Ron Paul coming out in favor of democratic socialism and expanding the war on drugs to ban sugar and salt. As well as expanding the nanny state and requiring every American to exercise at least three hours a day, or pay a steep fine. As well as expanding the Patriot Act to prevent people from reading books that argue against big government in either our economic, or personal affairs.

Clarence Williams

Source:MeTV– Happy Birthday to Clarence Williams.

“Happy Birthday to Clarence Williams III! The actor who is best known for his role on The Mod Squad, turns 74 today!”

From MeTV

“The Mod Squad TV Show Theme Opening Season One. Great quality from DVD source. 1960s Clarence Thomas III Peggy Lipton Michael Cole. The Mod Squad was a police drama that featured three young, hip, crime fighters. One White, One Black, One Blonde, was the promotional hype-line. The casting was intended to appeal to a youthful, counterculture audience. The basic premise was that the youthful investigators were offered work fighting crime as an alternative to being incarcerated themselves. The show’s primary gimmick centered on the three cops using their youthful, hippie personas as a guise to get close to the criminals they investigated. The show was moderately popular during its initial run of five seasons and 123 episodes. Tige Andrews (Captain Greer), Michael Cole (Pete Cochran), Peggy Lipton (Julie Barnes), and Clarence Williams III (Linc Hayes) starred. The show portrayed a multicultural society and dealt with issues of racial politics, drug culture, and counterculture.

The show was loosely based on Police Officer Bud Ruskin’s experiences in the late 1950s as a squad leader for undercover narcotics cops, though it took almost 10 years after he wrote a script for the idea to be given the greenlight by ABC television studios.”

The Mod Squad TV Show Theme Opening Season One

Source:Retro Rebirth– Michael Cole & Clarence Williams.

From Retro Rebirth

Happy Birthday to one of my favorite actors a great character actor, whose also one of the most underrated character actors in Hollywood. Williams is probably best known for his role as an undercover detective on the Mod Squad. Which I’m not sure is not even a very good show for the early 1970s even. And perhaps not even that believable when you’re talking about ex-cons who get the opportunity to get out of jail if they agree to become undercover police officers, or detectives. But it was a very hip show for its time, at least and perhaps that is the only thing that it had going for it. But seeing it on reruns especially the writing it looks pretty cheesy, even for that time period.

But Williams career is a lot better than just Mod Squad. He was in I’m Going to Get You Sucka, which is a very good African-American action/comedy from 1988.

Williams also had big roles on Miami Vice perhaps the greatest police detective show of all-time.

Hill Street Blues from the early 1980s on NBC about New York City police officers.

Reindeer Games from 2000 where he was one of the kidnappers in that movie.

TNT’s George Wallace from 1997 where he played a loyal servant to a Dixiecrat Alabama governor who used all sorts of racial if not racist rhetoric against African-Americans simply to stay in and expand his power in Alabama.

When I think of Clarence Williams, I think of the ultimate tough guy who always looks like he’s about to go nuts and just beat the hell out of someone, or a lot of people, or kill a lot of people. He generally plays the bad guy with Clint Eastwood’s Magnum Force from 1973 being an exception to that. But a lot of that has to do with the fact that he’s so good at that and is a big, tall, strong, guy, who looks like he kicks ass very well. Plus, he’s such a great character actor that he tends to get a lot of roles in action, or dramatic films and TV that have him playing roles like that. He’s a great character actor and who plays the badass as well as it can be played.

Great Hog

Source:Mike Richman– Mike Richman interviewing Redskins OT Jim Lachey (1988-95)

“Redskins Historian Mike Richman interviews former Redskins offensive tackle Jim Lachey at FedExField on Nov. 4, 2012. Lachey was there as part of the celebration honoring the 80 Greatest Redskins of all time. A Redskin from 1988-95, Lachey talks about what it was like being part of the “Hogs,” one of the most intimidating O-lines in NFL history, and of the Redskin team that romped through the 1991 season and won Super Bowl XXVI. Don’t miss this interview, which aired on Mike’s TV show, “Burgundy & Gold Magazine.” You can also watch it on Mike’s web site at:Redskins Historian. Check it out!”

From Mike Richman

Without the injuries, Jim Lachey would’ve been a first ballot of Hall of Famer, because he was that good, that big, that dominant, that strong, and one of the top three offensive tackles of his era. But after the Redskins Super Bowl season in 1991, he was dealing with major injuries for most of the rest of his career that limited his time on the field. Because before the back injury in 93 or 94, we’re talking about the best offensive tackle in the NFL. At least in NFC, who was headed to the Hall of Fame for sure. Who was a big part of one of the most dominant Super Bowl champions of all-time in the 1991 Redskins.

I think the best play that I can remember with Jim Lachey was in 1988 or 89 and they’re playing the Dallas Cowboys at Dallas and he’s blocking Ed Too Tall Jones one-on-one one, one of the best defensive ends of the 1970s and 1980s and Lachey stood him up on a pass play and knocked him down. Ed Jones, 6’9, 285 pounds, moved like a great basketball player and Lachey 6’6, perhaps the only player that he had to block that was actually taller than him and as big if not bigger and Lachey knocks Jones completely out of the play.

Jim Lachey, 6’6 290-295 pounds, all muscle who wore that very well. I think he beefed up a little bit when he got to Washington, because he didn’t want to feel small compared with the Hogs, but don’t quote me on that. Great size and yet he was also very quick, who moved his feet very well. He was both a dominant pass blocker and run blocker, which is one thing that made the Hogs so special. And why the Redskins of the 1980s and early 1990s were both a great running team and vertical passing team, because of their offensive line and the time the quarterback consistently got and the huge holes in the running game. And Big Jim I believe was the best of this group. And that alone should get him Hall of Fame consideration.
